Detailed  5 Days Primate Safari tour Itinerary

This 5 days Primate Safari tour starts from Either Entebbe or Kampala , it can be tailored to fit into the travel time once booked with Primate Safari Experiences.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park

You will be picked by an experienced tour guide of Primate Safari experience and start the drive to south western Uganda where bwindi impenetrable national park is located , this journey takes approximately 8-9 hours including equator experiment , lunch stop over and you will enjoy lunch in mbarara , later proceed to drive to kisoro town which is located near to Bwindi , since it gorilla habituation , you will be visiting the southern sector of the park with overnight stay at Rushaga Gorilla Camp.

Day 2: Gorilla Habituation in Bwindi Forest National Park

After early morning breakfast, the guide will transfer you to the park headquarter for briefying about the mountain gorillas conservation rules and regulations .  Do the registration and then head straight into the jungle to start the search for the mountain gorillas , once found you will spend 4 hours face to face with the gorillas , walking with them as they do feed and play with the young ones. Ensure to carry your packed lunch to eat.

As you leave for the Gorilla habituation experience, transfer back to your lodge for relaxation, Dinner and Overnight as above

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After morning breakfast at the lodge , you start to drive to Kibale Forest national park, which is the only destination in Uganda where chimpanzee habituation is done.

The drive from Bwindi to Kibale will reward you with the great experience of passing through Queen Elizabeth National park which is known for being the place for spotting the tree climbing lions in Uganda and leopard. incase time allows the driver guide may off you chance to search for the tree climbing lions and other wildlife animals, you will have lunch in Queen Elizabeth National park at Savannah Hotel and proceed to arrive at  Kibale forest national Park the top destination for Chimpanzee Watching .  Dinner and overnight Isunga Lodge / Primate lodge

Day 4: Chimpanzee Habituation Experience

After an early breakfast at the lodge, drive to Kibale forest National Park headquarters for briefing about the Dos and Don’ts around Chimpanzees in their natural forest habitat. The walk may start from the park offices or may require you to have some simple driving to the starting point , and after you will spend the entire day in the jungle watching the chimpanzee , its a full day activity and your required to move with packed lunch and enough driving water.  Transfer from one place to another in the forest for 2-4 hours tracking the Chimpanzees and when you meet them only an hour is allowed in their presence. After tracking transfer to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight as Above.

Day 5: Departure to Kampala

After breakfast at the lodge, check out and transfer back to Kampala. The guide will drop you at your hotel in Kampala/Entebbe or at the airport for your flight back home.
