Day 1:  Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, the experienced tour guide of primate safari experiences will pick you up and transfer to Volcanoes national park the known destinations in Rwanda for mountain gorilla watching & Golden monkey tracking with 100% chances of seeing other primates in the wilderness.

The Drive from Kigali Rwanda to Volcanoes national park takes around 2 hours to arrive in the northern province of Rwanda. Incase time allows, upon arrival at volcanoes, you may visit the twin Lakes later check-in at the accommodation. Dinner and overnight Five Volcanoes Lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Upon wake up in the morning, you will have breakfast before heading to the park headquarter for briefing about the gorilla trekking rules and regulations. Later in groups of 8 with a skilled park ranger, walk to the forest to track the Mountain gorillas which can take about  3-5 hours and when you meet them, only an hour is allowed to stay in their presence taking photos. After trekking the Gorillas, transfer back to your lodge/ hotel for Dinner and Overnight Five Volcanoes Lodge

Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking

After morning breakfast, you will head back to Volcanoes national park headquarters for briefing about the golden monkey tracking rules which are similar to one of Mountain gorillas, After the briefing, you will head to the starting point for the golden monkey tracking and you will walk through the bamboo to search for these primates in the wilderness. you will spend one hour with the golden monkey and later return to the lodge and later proceed to cross the border to the Republic of Uganda known as the pearl of Africa mainly exploring the mountains gorillas in Mgahinga National Park located in the Virunga Mountains. Dinner and overnight at Gahinga Lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga National Park

After morning breakfast at the hotel in Mgahinga National park, you will go for briefing about the conservation rules while trekking the gorillas in the wilderness of the Virunga mountains. Apart from Mgahinga national park, Uganda is the only destination that has two national parks where gorilla trekking is done including Bwindi forest national park located in southern Uganda which is an independent National park and not connected to Virunga Mountains.

Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga is ranked to be the shortest to explore as its ease to trek in Mgahinga than Bwindi . and after the briefing, you will start the hike to search for the mountains gorillas in the bamboo forest as volcanoes & Mgahinga have the same vegetation cover. The tracking may last for about 3-6 hours and you will relax at the lodge after the gorilla trekking. Dinner and overnight as Above.

Day 5: Transfer to Back to Kigali.

Depending on the client’s interest, you have an option of exploring lake bunyonyi located in southern Uganda which is ranked as the second deepest lake in Africa after Lake Tanganyika in Tanzania with a boat to visit the various islands on the lake. you will enjoy lunch on any hotel near the lake and later proceed to drive to Kigali Rwanda using katana/ Gatuna Border, arrive in the late evening for the flight back home.
